Finance Manager

I am partnering with a global satellite communications provider. They support their clients with satellite communication software and hardware solutions to ensure seamless communications in remote locations including oil rigs and shipping. Due to the growth of the German office, they are now hiring an Accounting and Finance Manager to join their team in the Hamburg area. This is a new position, a permanent role and while the first 6 months are office-based, thereafter a hybrid model is possible.

Permanent Position, Hamburg area

Your new duties and responsibilities

As the new Accounting and Finance Manager, you will act as the Lead Finance person for the German business and will be a key member of the Internal Senior Management Team. You will have direct responsibility for a team of 3.

Tasks will include:

• Prepare month-end and quarterly reports
• Monthly Balance Sheet reconciliation
• Manage cash flow analysis and projections
• Support the preparation of budgets and provide monthly reports
• Inter-company reconciliations
• Provide financial management support to senior management team
• Monitor payments received
• Be the point of contact for local German auditors, manage financial statement reporting, VAT reporting and coordinate local tax returns

The new Accounting and Finance Manager should have prior experience in a similar role. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on mentality, be proactive and self-motivated.

Your Profile:

• Prior experience in a similar accountancy role
• Qualified Accountant
• Strong command of both German and English
• Experience working in a B2B environment and ideally in an international company
• People management experience would be an advantage
